A funeral was held March 30 from the chapel of Wright and Ferguson for Guy H. Slocumb Jr. of 4650 Londonderry Dr. The Rev. David Cranford officiated, Slocumb, 67, died the afternoon of March 28 in the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center after a long illness.

A native of Edwards, he was the son Of the late Guy H. Slocumb Sr. and Sally Provine Slocumb. He was a former resident of Canton and Vicks-burg where he owned and operated a retail clothing store. He had been a resident of Jackson for the past 12 years.

He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II in which he served in the Army Air Corps. His survivors include his wife, nee Leuna Hilton of Pinola; three sons, Guy H. Slocumb HI of Montgomery, Michael H. Slocumb of Charlotte, N.C., and Patrick P.

Slocumb of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Sally) Spell of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren; and a nephew, Tom Winter of Rochester, N.Y. Pallbearers were Toler Hood, Michael Ramshur, Paul Grubbs, Bern Herrin, Shelby Grubbs, and Troy Grubbs. Burial was in the Edwards Cemetery. A native of Chicago, 111., he was a resident of the city for 50 years where he operated the American Expansion Bolt and Manufacturing Co, He had made his home in Jackson since 1963. Isett, USAF, Montgomery, Jeffery K. Isett of Evergreen, and Gregory K. Isett of Jackson; two daughters, Miss Siri Allen Isett of Honolulu and Miss Louesa Isett of Jackson; and two granddaughters. Burial was in the Lake-wood Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Greg Isett, Jeff Isett, 'John Isett, Ken Tatum, Scott Tatum and Bill Tillman.

Turk, will be the guest speaker for the Friday, April 7, meeting of the Central Mississippi Chapter of the Big Gold Club. You Saw It In The Sun The 1978 Capital Funds Campaign of Goodwill Indus-tires of Mississippi, is underway in the Capital area to reach its goal of $600,000 to fund new and improve existing facilities to serve the State's handicapped people. Campaign goals were outlined during a special kickoff luncheon. Heading the program were Mayor Dale Danks, Campaign Chairman placed seventh in the nation. Assisting Flannes and Dean in campaign leadership are Julian L. Clark, Alvis T.

Hunt, George E. Dona van, Robert R. N. Frank Edmonds and Larry W. Edwards.

Goodwill facilities, and rehabilitation services have been used by over 3,400 handicapped persons from 1957-77.

These people are referred to the organization by local, state and federal agencies, State Vocational Rehabilitation, State Rehabilitation for the Blind, Veterans. Administration, Comprehensive Employment Training Act, WIN (Work Incentive Now) and Senior Aide Program. Goodwill was accredited in 1976 by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. This accreditation extends through 1979 and is the highest award given any rehabilitation facility in the United States. Goodwill has the most comprehensive evaluation center and is the only sheltered workshop in the state.
