She is member of the MacDowel Music Club and the Jackson Symphony League. V- 1 The program will include selections from Bach, thoven, Chopin and Debussy The public is invited, This is a benefit recital for the church's organ fund and, for those wishing to contribute to this fund, there will be an offering plate in the foyer of the church. Mrs.

Balcsik studied piano with Mrs. J. L. Roberts of Jackson, Edward Kilenyi of the Florida State University, and William Avera of Belhaven College. She studied organ with Mrs.

Virgil Posey. Mrs. Balcsik was a piano major at the Florida State University and, while there, was elected to Alpha Lambda Delta, honorary scholastic fraternity and Pi Kappa Lambda, honorary music fraternity. She was treasurer of the music school her freshman year. Mrs.

Balcsik has appeared Linda Upshaw Balcsik, of Hartsdale Drive, will be presented in piano recital by the Madison United Methodist Church on May 15, at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church. 'By My Spirit' to be presented The Sanctuary Choir of Woodland Hills Baptist Church will present By My Spirit, at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 15, in the church sanctuary, located at 3327 Old Canton Rd. James Glass, the presentation will feature solos by Mrs. Myrna Hedgepeth and Ron Sennett The public is invited. Unity leaders named Over ilf century of Christianity are located at Lee's Summit, Mo. and includes the Silent Unity Department to which thousands of people write each year for prayer for any need. There are many Unity members and friends in Jackson; a recent news release announced that 2,100 calls for prayer work were received from the Jackson area during the past six months.

Attend Church Sunday i The Madison Baptist Church will have revival services May 22-25, with preaching by Dr. Barney Walker Jr. Directing the music will be J. M. Wood.

Dr. Walker is a native of Jackson, and has pastored churches in Mississippi and Texas. He was chaplain for LeTourneau, Inc. in Long-view, Tex. for six years and also served for two years as Dean of Men at LeTourneau College.

For the past 10 years he has pastored the Garden Oaks Baptist Church in Houston, Tex. In 1975 Dr. Walker was given an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Houston Baptist Church. He has recently accepted a position with Houston Baptist College, in Houston, Tex. Wood is a native of Oklahoma and is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, North Texas State University, and Southwestern Baptist Seminary.

He has served churches in Oklahoma, Kansas and is presently Minister of Music at the Broadmoor Baptist Church in Jackson. Sunday services will be at 11:00 and 7:30. Monday through Wednesday services will be at 10:30 and 7:30. A nursery will be provided for ages three and under' for all of the scheduled services. Reverend Billy McKay is pastor of the Madison church.

Editor to speak to Andersen men Roy Lawrence, Editor of the Mississippi United Methodist "Advocate," will speak to the Anderson United Methodist Men's Club Sunday, May 15, at 7:30 a.m. Lawrence, who was appointed editor of the "Advocate" in 1966 will speak to the men on the subject "Public Relations in the Church." The speaker is married to the former Rosemary Stewart of Kosciusko and they are the parents of two children, George and Priscilla. He served in the Navy in WWII and is a member of the Associated Church Press Association, United Methodist Communications Association and the World Methodist Council. A. F.

Dominic Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 73. She was a native of Bay Springs but had been a long time resident of Jackson where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joe Meltz. Eer survivors include a daughter, Mrs.

Edna N. Dyer of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Cross of Jackson and Mrs. Cora Belle Rainey of Meridian; and three grandchildren. Now medical offices planned Groundbreaking for two new medical buildings is expected to take place before the end of the month on property located on the east side of Doctor's Hospital.

The project includes two separate buildings of 10,500 square feet each and will have a total of 17 offices for physicians. The contract, for approximately $1 million, was let to Lemoine Construction Co. of Bunkie, La. The master plan for the complex, which will be owned by Humana of Mississippi, calls for three buildings. The third will be constructed at a later date.
