Sidney Sanders, dean of St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral, officiated. Robinson died unexpectedly the morning of Dec. 31 in Mississippi Baptist Medical Center at the age of 76. He was a member of pioneer Jackson families, a son of the late John W.

and Ida Mitchell Robinson, a grandson of the late Dr. Thomas Jefferson Mitchell, and a great grandson of Gov. William McWillie, governor from 1857 to 1859. He was a nephew of the late Mrs. Robert (Henrietta Mitchell) Henry of Jackson and a brother of the late John W.

Robinson, Thomas Mitchell Robinson and Joseph Fielding Robinson. He was educated at Augusta Military Academy in Virginia and attended Millsaps College and Mississippi State University. He became associated with the Robinson and Julienne Insurance Agency in 1 1921. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity, the Jackson Exchange Club and St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral.

His survivors include his wife, nee Hilda Stuart Howie of Jackson; two sons, Dr. McWillie Robinson Jr. and Stuart Robinson, both of Jackson; four grandchildren; and 8 sister-in-law, Mrs. Mitchell Robinson of Jackson. Pallbearers were John Robinson, Fielding Robinson, David McGowan, John MeGowan, Jim Hudgins, Tom Ryan, Paul Moak and Nat Hovious.

Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. MRS. SAM J. IUPE services at St. Peter Services were conducted Jan.

8 in St. Peter Catholic Co-Cathedral for Mrs. Sam J. Lupe. The Rev.

Robert A. Olivier officiated. Mrs. lupe, 76, died the night of Dee. 30 in a local hospital.

Her survivors include one daughter, Miss Marie lupe of Jackson; three sons, Joe lupe of Canton, and Charlie Lupe the ceremonies included (from left) Howard Ivy, secretary of Lakewood Memorial Park; Miss Mary B. Burial was in the Cedarlawn Cemetery. SAMUEL T. SOMERS Wesley Methodist member Services were conducted Jan. 3 from the chapel of Wright and Ferguson for Samuel T. Somers of 4070 Meadowlane Dr.

The Rev. William W. Watkins officiated. Somers, 64, died the morning of Dec. 31 in the Veterans Hospital.

Somers was a native of McComb and had made his home in Jackson for more than 45 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. His survivors include his wife, nee Cleo Hughes; three sons, Ted Somers and Jim Somers, both of Jackson, and Pat Somers of Hattiesburg; one sister, Mrs. Frances Elliott of Gulfport; and a grandson, Richard Somers. Burial was in the Lakewood Memorial Park.

28 HELL Even as there is a place of eternal bliss for those who trust Christ as Savior, there is a place of eternal torment for those who do not. The Scriptures are full of references to this place of the lost after death. It is significant that the Lord Jesus Christ had more to say about hell than any other single person in the Bible. The figures of speech used to describe this place and state of existence range from "outer darkness" to "the Lake of Fire." Each is designed to communicate something of the utter misery of all who go there. Some may attempt to remove the horror of hell by emphasizing that the "fire," is only symbolic.

Second, if it is symbolic, this would indicate a suffering worse than burning in fire (because the symbol is never greater than the reality). It is further evident that not only the soul of the unbeliever suffers in hell, but his resurrected body as well (Matt. Rev. Eternal separation from God and all that is good is a horrible prospect!
