At Adams County Christian Academy, the girls placed second again, while the boys placed fifth. The ninth grade art class enjoyed a day-long field trip last Tuesday. They went to Madison County on a drawing and painting trip, and also enjoyed a picnic lunch. Miss Dain Hayes and Miss Susan Stanley's fifth grade classes presented a program of folk music last Friday. Mrs.

Bunny Shelton's first graders participated in career day last Friday and dressed in the costumes of the profession that they hope to enter in the future. The most popular profession was that of the pro football player. Our students win contests At the recent Hinds County Conservation District Awards Banquet, a number of Nor-thside students from city and private. schools were recognized for winning posters and essays which were judged for the conservation theme by a group of teachers from area schools. Danielle Andrea Wahba, third grade, St.

Andrews and Leigh Ann Evans, seventh grade, St. Andrews were First Place winners in the Poster Contest. Jimmy Watts, fourth grade, Woodland Hills was a Third Place winner. In the Essay Contest, John Couch, seventh grader at St. Richards won a Second Place and Will Smathers, eighth grader at First Presbyterian Day School won a Third Place.
