and Mrs. F. E. Brasfield Jr. of Edwards.

The groom is the son of Dr. J. W. Vinson and the late Mrs. Martha Varner Vinson of Jackson.

The Rev. B. I. Anderson, pastor of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church, performed the ring ceremony before an altar which was improvised in front of the fireplace and brick chimney that reached to the cathedral ceiling of the great living room. On either side of the altar were matching Christmas trees of native cedars which featured red velvet bows, red ornaments and miniature white lights.

The focal point of the area was an antique brass container on the mantel which held a massive arrangement of red poinsettias, native red berries and native cedar. On both sides of the fireplace were brass hibachis containing large potted poinsettias accented with cedar and red berries. Red candles in brass candlesticks completed the setting for the candlelight service. A. program of classical music was presented for the large gathering of friends and relatives before the ceremony by Jerome Sampson, concert pianist from New York and Jackson.

Mrs. Gena Everitt presented nuptial rendentions. The bride's wedding gown of silk chiffon featured a Victorian neckline over a fitted bodice of Schiffli embroidery and Alencon lace outlined with seed pearls, full bishop sleeves, deeply cuffed with Alencon lace and seed pearls and pleated skirt which ended with a deep flounce of smaller pleating that extended in a chapel train. Her mantilla was English net and Brussells lace. She carried a cascade of orchids, white roses, stephanotis and ivy, as well as a handkerchief brought from Switzerland.

Her jewelry consisted of pearl earrings which belonged to her mother and a single strand of pearls which belong to her grandmother. Mrs. Rickey B. Blakeney was her sister's only attendant. She wore a floor length gown of Christmas green Qiana and carried a bouquet of spruce and cedar and red poinsettias.

Dr. Vinson served his son as best man. Ushers were Rickey Dean Blakeney, brother-in-law of the bride, and Frances David Harpale Jr. A candlelight reception and buffet was held immediately following the cermony. The bride's table in the formal dining room held the traditional tiered wedding cake which was decorated with fresh Christmas flowers and red satin streamers, and a massive arrangement of red poinsettias, cedar and red berries.

Gray, who was accompanied by Mrs. Leslie Johnson, opened with "Scena Di Berenice" by Haydn. Mrs. Waite was joined by Rae Shannon, pianist, Sybil Cheesman, flautist and Andrew Cox, cellist, for Bach's Trio Sonata for Two Flutes, Continuo, and Piano." She also performed "Theme and Variations" by Chopin. Mrs.

With this she wore a navy blouse and natural accessories which included a cross-stitched purse made for her by her sister. The couple will make their home in Jackson, where the bride is associated with the State Auditor's office and the groom will manage his father's farming operations.

White, Farnham set wedding date Mrs. Robert Eugene White announces the engagement of her daughter, Susan Nevel, to Daniel Lee Farnham, son of Mrs. Guy H. Farnham and the late Mr. Farnham, all of Jackson.

Miss White is also the daughter of the late Mr. White. Miss White is a graduate of the Jackson Preparatory School and the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a Dean's List student. She is a member of the Mississippi Opera Chorus and serves on the board of the Mississippi Opera Guild. She is associated with Deposit Guaranty National Bank in the management training program.

The future bridegroom is a graduate of Murrah High School and the University of Mississippi. He is an independent oil lease broker and is a member of the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landmen. John H. White Jan. 3 in the home of Mrs. White on Eastover Place. Mrs.

Porter presents program about buttons to DAR chapter Members of Magnolia State Chapter, Daughter of the American Revolution, received the informal presentaion of "Historic Buttons," presented by Mrs. Dred Porter at the chapter's Jan. 3 meeting. Mrs. Porter's hobby of button collecting was presented in categories as to historical, mythological and calico.

Mrs. Charles C. Richmond, Regent, presided. She was assisted in the DAR Ritual by Miss Elizabeth Harrell. The secretary's report was read by Mrs.

Carolyn L. Johnson. Mrs. G. J.

Cain presented the chapter's Outstanding History Teacher award to Mrs. Linda Anglin. The National Defense Message was given by Mrs. Herman Marx. Reports of the treasurer and Registrar were read.
