Courthouse swimmers scoring single victories this week were Tor-rey McAlpin, Kyle Everett, Shannon Peterson, Kristin Hurley, and Christine Ho. Shannon Louys, Christine Reitano, Brian White, Heather Wooten, Richard Nickles, Tricia Lawson and Michelle Hoke did likewise for Crossgates. In the relays the Courthouse team won six medley relays and six free Russ, two 11-12 age group Courthouse swimmers won "all gold" for the fourth week.

Other outstanding Courthouse swimmers repeating as triple winners are Lance Maples 8 and Under Boys, Adam Powers 9-10 Boys, Shawn McAlpin 13-14 Boys and Alan Anderson in the 15-18 Boys. Of similar acclaim for Crossgates was Shannon Davis in the 8 and Under Girls. Double winners for Courthouse were Kristin Peterson, Peggy Emerson and Mary Elizabeth Russ. Chris Courthouse swim team registered its third win of the season when it squeezed out an 8-point victory over the Crossgates swim team in the fourth week of dual competition. Courthouse led throughout the individual events; however, after the medley relays the score was tied 551-551.

The Courthouse boys 8 and under Relay won the first free style relay, and Courthouse was able to maintain its narrow winning margin. Margaret White and Roderick relays, while Crossgates scored victories in four medley and four free relays. team. Winners The Murrah High School Girls Track Team placed third in the State Meet held at Hughes Field on May 11. The Lady Mustangs were undefeated in regular meets. They also won the Capital Classic, the City Championship, North Subdistrict Six, District Six, Hattiesburg Invitational, Capital Big Eight, Overall Big Eight, South Mississippi State and tied with Meridian in the Meridian Relays. They are coached by Monroe Allen.
