6A THE NORTHSIDE SUN, JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI Thursday, August 6, 1992 Florence I. Wallace Services were held July 24 from First Presbyterian Church for Florence Inge Wallace of Lakeland Lane. Dr. James Baird officiated. Mrs.

Wallace, 92, died July 22 at Lakeland Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was past president of the Old Ladies Home Board of Managers. She was retired office manager for the Barksdale Insurance Agency. Her husband, Fred Wallace, a Jackson banker, preceded her in death April 7, 1990.

Memorials may be made to French Camp Academy, Reformed Theological Seminary or to Belhaven College. Pallbearers were George May, S. C. Wadsworth, Calvin Wells, Ludwell Pierce, Sam McAllister and Millard Hubbard. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Alva Dean Foy Graveside services were held July 25 from Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery for Alva Dean Foy of 204 Pine Park Dr. The Rev. John Brock officiated. Foy, 54, died July 18 at Veterans Administration Medical Center. A native of Belzoni, he had been a resident of Pearl for 12 years.

He retired after 20 years of service as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He also served in Vietnam. Survivors include sons, Alva Dean Foy Jr. of Boise, Idaho and Scott Foy of Gulfport; sister, Anne Banks of Jackson; two step sisters, Bernice Munn of Pearl and Tommie Lee McGraw of Bolton; step brother, Harmon Gill of Jackson; and a grandson, Nicklas Foy.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. W. F. Dearman Jr. Services were held July 28 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home for W.

F. "Buck" Dearman Jr. of Seneca Avenue. The Revs. Russell Fletcher and W.

D. Pigott officiated. Dearman, 64, died July 26 at his home. A native of McLain, he spent most of his life in Jackson. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Mississippi.

After serving in the Army, he returned to Jackson where he owned Magnolia Construction Company and later Dearman Engineering Company. He was active in the development of Madison subdivisions including Pecan Creek, Armonde Court and Sandalwood. As a college student, he was a member of the University of Mississippi golf team and as a senior golfer he participated in three Obituaries U.S.G.A. Senior Amateur Tournaments. He was a member of St.

Luke's United Methodist Church, Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, Colonial Country Club and Greasy Bayou Hunting Club. He was a charter member of the Capitol Investment Club and served on the school board of Jackson Prep and the Board of Governors of the Country Club of Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rhodes Dearman of Jackson; daughters, Sarah Dearman of Jackson and Rebecca Dearman Mercier of Madison. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Memorial Fund or to Hospice of Central Mississippi.

Pallbearers were Bobby Mclves, Chester Burnham, Henry Fife, Jim Harrison, Frank Barnett, Jim Watts, Marion Parker, Hugh Montgomery, Gus Primos and Tom Hannaford. Honorary pallbearers were members of Capitol Investment and Greasy Bayou Hunting Club. Burial was in the Montgomery Cemetery in Madison. Z. A.

Davis Jr. Services were held July 29 from St. Philip's Episcopal Church for Z. A. Davis Jr.

of Temple, Texas. The Revs. Duncan M. Gray III and David A. Elliott III officiated.

Davis, 75, died July 26 at Regency Manor Nursing Center. A native of Bogalusa, he had been a resident of Jackson since 1951, before he moved to Temple, Texas in May 1990. He was a communicant of St. Philip's Episcopal Church and a former member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He retired in 1988 as a financial planning, pension and profit sharing consultant for Hester, Stockett and Thomas Insurance Company.

He was life member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. Survivors include his wife, Mary Oden Davis of Jackson; three sons, the Rev. Zabron A. Davis III of Como, Dr. Russell Alan Davis of Bristol, Tenn.

and Kevin Dale Davis of Temple, Texas; sisters, Donna Plodzik of Austin, Texas and Artie Becke of Bogalusa, brother, E. L. Davis of Wolfboro, N.H.; and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Mid Mississippi, 931 Hwy. 80 West, Jackson.

Pallbearers were Zabron A. Davis IV, Russell Alan Davis Mathew Davis, Lester Hailey, Charles Russell, Marvin Stockett and Bill Thomas. Burial was in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Bethany Swearingen Services were held July 30 from Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church Chapel for Bethany Swearingen of 1355 Dor- roh St. The Rev.

Bert Felder officiated. Miss Swearingen, 87, died July 28 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Jackson, she was educated in the Jackson Public Schools and graduated from Millsaps College. She moved to Chicago and worked in advertising for several years.

She attended the University of Chicago and also attended the University of North Carolina. She returned to Jackson to become librarian at Millsaps until early retirement. She was a lifelong member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, member of the A.A.U.W. (American Association of University Women), worked at the Bethlehem Center (Social Service Organization) and was a charter member of the Junior League of Jackson. Survivors include her sister, Mrs.

Crawford S. Enochs of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Center or Millsaps library. Pallbearers were Bob Bradford, Bill Lipscomb, Jim Smith, Fred Ezelle, Russell Noble and Hoyt Holland Jr. Burial was in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

James Lloyd Williams Services were held July 31 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home for James Lloyd Williams of 2051 Plantation Blvd. The Revs. Bill Whitwer, Michael Davis and Dr. Jon E. Williams officiated.

Williams, 59, died July 29 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. A native of McComb, he graduated from Millsaps College and the University of Texas School of Law. He was a practicing attorney and a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He was also a member of Kappa Alpha Order, the Petroleum Landman Association and the Tracewood Baptist Church in Ridgeland.

Survivors include his. wife, Frances Minter Williams of Jackson; daughter, Laura Rebecca Williams of Jackson; mother, Mrs. Pearl Beck of Columbia; sister, Janice Williams Laws of Jackson; brother, Jon Edward Williams of Annapolis, Md. Pallbearers were Toxey Puckett, David W. Miller, David Miller, Jack Ritter, Bill Morgan, Bill Pemberton, Conrad Martin and Ralph St.

John. Burial was in the Cold Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Elsie M. Franklin Services were held July 31 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Elsie M. Franklin of Woodmont Drive.

A native of Scott County, she had been a resident of Jackson 66 years. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, William Ralph Franklin of Leland; daughter, Jean F. Williams of Jackson; sister, Leila Madison of Jackson; six grandchildren, Kaye Duease, Babs Moss, Paula Kilpatrick, Mae Watts, Elsie Smith and Renee Haynes; and 13 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers were Jon Watts, John Duease, Shane Kilpatrick, Jamie Kilpatrick, Tommy Kilpatrick and Blake Haynes. Burial was in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Mattie Ruth Causey Services were held August 3 from Covenant Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Mattie Ruth Causey of Bounds Street. The Rev.

Joseph B. Rightmyer officiated. Mrs. Causey, 85, died August 1 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. A native of Rosehill, she was the former Mattie Ruth McCune.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Causey Sr. in 1985. She was a long time resident of Jackson and lived in Coldwater from 1989 to 1992 with her daughter. She was a graduate of M.S.C.W.

having received a degree in music and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, F. A. Causey Jr. of Miami Springs, Fla.

and Dr. William A. Causey of Jackson; three daughters, Allie Ruth Shannon of Coldsprings, Texas, Mary K. Skinner of Jackson and Jo Anne Dukes of Norfolk, 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Lung Association or to Calvary Baptist Church.
