She was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church, the Women's Missionary Society and the Board of Trustees. She was a retired registered nurse and was a volunteer for the Red Cross and the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was a member of the Madison Home Demonstration Club.

She was a former teacher at Columbia High School. She moved to Jackson in 1943 and was associated with the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Survivors are her sister Anna Dear Jones of Jackson; brothers, Horace Dear of Harahan, Victor Dear of Hattiesburg; one niece, several nephews and great nephews. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.

Mary Maud Eason Services were held April 7 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Maud Eason of 4091 Pine Hill Drive. Dr. Frank Pollard officiated. Mrs. Eason, 86, died April 6 at Compere's Nursing Home.

A native of Barlow, she had lived in Jackson since 1926. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was associated with the Tuberculosis Association. Survivors are her husband, Henry N. Eason Sr.

of Jackson; daughter, Mary Jane Primos of Jackson; son, Henry N. Eason Jr. of Jackson; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Charles Williams, Hank Eason, Tom Eason, T.

E. Wilson, Bill Primos, Walter Denny and Ross Barnett Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery. H. Curtis Flowers Graveside services were held April 9 from Lakewood Memorial Park for H. Curtis Flowers of Robert Drive.

Flowers, 84, died April 6 at St. Dominies-Jackson Memorial Hospital. A native of Brundidge he was a resident of Jackson for more than 40 years. He was retired from the Mississippi Petroleum Council. He was the owner of Consolidated Business Services.

He was a communicant of St. Richards Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are his daughter, Luran Flowers of Jackson and two nieces. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Mississippi. George Burge Services were held April 7 from the sanctuary of St.

Philip's Episcopal Church for George Wayne Burge of Chastain Drive. The Rev. Craig Gates officiated. Burge, 47, died April 5 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. A native of Alvin, Texas, he was a graduate of the University of Texas.

He was associated with A and Haywood Company and the Ballow Corporation. He was a communicant of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Survivors are his son, Pearce Burge of Dallas; his father, Julius Burge of San Antonio; brothers, John Burge of Conroe, Texas, James Burge of San Antonio and Charles Burge of Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
