6A THE NORTHSIDE SUN, JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI Thursday, June 4, 1992 Tressa M. Michael A funeral Mass was held May 23 from St. Richards Catholic Church for Mrs. Tressa M. Michael of 4534 Meadow Hill Rd.

The I Rev. Richard Somers officiated. Mrs. Michael, 74, died May 21 at her home. A native of Centralia.

she was the former Tressa Maloney. She had been a resident of Jackson since 1940 and was a charter member of St. Richards Catholic Church where she also was a member of the St. Monica Circle. Survivors include her husband, F.

Michael of Jackson; daughters, Patricia Michael Ricks of Friendswood, Texas and Jo Lynn Michael of Jackson; sons, James T. Michael and M. Tim Michael, both of Jackson; eight grandchildren. Taylor Michael, Charles Michael, James Calvin Michael, Tom Michael, Sloane Michael Stupica, all of Jackson, Ann Marie Ricks, Robin Ricks, Lisa Ricks, all of Friendswood, Texas; great granddaughter, Mallory Stupica; one sister, Veronica Brooks of Lafayette, one brother, Theodore Maloney of Jacksonville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St.

Richards Catholic Church or to Hospice of Central Mississippi. Pallbearers were George Maloney, Jimmy Maloney, Kenny Maloney, Julian Cooey, Chris Murphy and Matt Murphy. Burial was in the LakewoodSouth Cemetery. James W. Freeman Sr.

Services were held May 28 from the graveside for James W. Freeman Sr. of 452 Greenleaf Trail. The Rev. Bill Poole officiated.

Freeman, 78, died May 26 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. A native of Sageville, he and his wife retired in 1974, moving to Jackson and later, Madison. He was a Protestant. He served for 25 years as finance officer in the U. S.

Air Force. He served one tour in South Africa, two in North Africa and a tour of post-war duty in Korea and the Azores, Portugal. Survivors include his wife, Nina Price Freeman of Madison; daughter, Gina Lee Rutherford of Brandon; son, James W. Freeman Jr. of Taylor, S.

five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Frances Freeman Newell of Memphis, Esther Morgan of Jackson; one brother, Douglas Freeman of Tappahannock, Va. Pallbearers were Harvey Hairston, J. R. Preston, Lester Carr, Lee Carr, Ed Newell and A. R.

Hickman. Gail Petkousek Mosby Services were held May 27 from St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Baton Rouge for Gail -Petkousek Mosby of 731 Gardner. Mosby, 39, died May 23 at her home. The former Gail Petkousek of Baton Rouge, she was a graduate of St.

Joseph's Academy and Northwestern State University School of Nursing. She had lived in Jackson for several years and was a medicalsurgical nurse at St. DominicJackson Memorial Hospital. She attended St. Richards Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Richard William Mosby and Frank Joseph Mosby, both of Jackson; parents, Frank and Jackie Petkousek of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Lisa Sharp of Hammond, Jackie Gallman of Baton Rouge; and her grandmother, Bernice McKaskall of Baton Rouge. Burial was in Green Oaks Cemetery. Kenneth M. Jones Services were held May 22 from Barham Chapel for Kenneth Michael Jones of Madison. The Revs.

Kelly E. Pope and Mike Everett officiated. Jones, 42, died May 20 at his home. A native of Lauderdale County, he was a South Central Bell operator for 18 years and a professional photographer. He was a member of Communication Workers of America (CMA), Telephone Pioneers, NRA, Madison United Methodist Church, and past member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He attended Meridian schools and was a graduate of East Mississippi Community College and the University of Alabama. Survivors include Patsy White Jones of Madison; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth F. Jones of Meridian; brother, Lester D.

Jones of Meridian; niece, Stacy Jones of Meridian; nephew, Ricky Jones of Meridian; and his grandmother Louise Jones. Memorials may be made to Madison United Methodist Church or to New Hope Baptist Church. Pallbearers were James Hays, Tommy Cook, Sonny Sodoma, Tommy Lewis, Henry Lewis, Billy Lewis and Carter Lewis. Burial was in the Street Family Cemetery in Liberty. Mrs.

Naomi B. McAlilly Services were held June 1 from the Riverside Independent Methodist Church for Mrs. Naomi Brown McAlilly of 375 Iroquois Ave. The Rev. Randy Shuman officiated.

Mrs. McAlilly, 69, died May 29 at her home. A native of Sidon, she lived in Jackson for 40 years. She was a member of the Riverside Independent Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a retired secretary with the Mississippi National Guard, the State Insurance Department and the Woodmen of the World Insurance Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. McAlilly. Survivors include one daughter, Gwen Buckley of Jackson; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Boehmer of New Orleans. Pallbearers were Randy Rogers, Bill Womack, Mark Godbold, George Boehmer, Mike Davis and Tim Long. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Center or the Riverside Independent Methodist Church.

Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery. Diana Bell officiated. Mrs. Robbins, 85, died May 21 at the Manhattan Health Care Center. A native of Tupelo, she had lived in Jackson for 50 years. She was a member of the Fondren Presbyterian Church where she was the first female officer of the church.

She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women majoring in physical education. She taught at Hinds Junior College and also taught in the Tupelo Public School before she married. She was preceded in her husband Thomas C. Robbins, a former director of the State Highway Department, and her son Thomas L. Robbins.

Survivors include her cousins Lola Broyles, Anne Cavett, both of Jackson and Richard Booth of Aberdeen. Memorials may be made to the Fondren Presbyterian Church.
