Carolyn Day Hartlein and Scott Herrin Noblitt were united in marriage at 6 p.m. March 13 at First United Methodist Church in West Point. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Stan Wilson. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. John Wesley Hartlein. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Neal Denton Rogers and the late Mr. Rogers, and Glenna Day Hartlein of Indianola.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Don Noblitt. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.

Carl Herrin and Mrs. John Henry Allen, and the late Mr. Allen and Mr. Horace Don Noblitt Sr. of Jackson.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory beaded French lace with folded satin ribbon at the waistline. Handmade floral confections were scattered on the dress. She wore a long veil of ribbon edged illusion. The bride carried a bouquet of white parrot tulips, Caramel Antike garden roses, white lilacs, and blue muscari tied with an heirloom handkerchief from the family and fastened with a special piece of jewelry from the paternal grandmother. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Sarah Kathryn Barnes.

Bridesmaids were Mary Rebecca Barry, Shannon York Blanks, Paula Kathryn Calhoon, Tatum Noblitt Goodman, Laura Hirn Hartlein, Meredith Lynn Sanders Hartlein, Sarah Bennett Parker, Sara Elizabeth Stockton and Jessica Webb Wood. They wore gowns in canary crinkle chiffon and carried nosegays of peach tulips, yellow ranuculus, and blue muscari tied with blue taffeta ribbon. Allison Lester Cauthen, Courtney Chinn Peters, and Katherine Anderson Puckett were honorary bridesmaids. The father was best man. Groomsmen were Taylor Westley Howard Newman, Brett Mathew Bradley, Hunter Manship Dickerson, Alan Denton Hartlein, John Wesley Hartlein Oscar Gray Goodman III, John Rogers Wood, Matthew Ryan Owens, and Michael Thomas Engle III.

Ushers were Jared Maddox Hall and William Jess Reed. Rogers and Harris Hartlein, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers. Greeters and program attendants were Ann Barrett Polk, Laura Polk, Ainsley Rogers, and Carly Herrin. The proxy was Ley Black, and Ashley Jew read Scripture. Nuptial music was provided by Marsha Tindall, soloist; Jeff Carter, trumpeter; Cheryl Jeanes, pianist; and members of the String Quartet.

Wedding coordinators were Kay Black and Mariah Clark. Following the ceremony, the parents hosted a reception at Old Waverly Golf Club. The clubhouse was decorated with a casual, elegant outdoors feel, and guests were entertained with music by the Patrick Smith Band. On the eve of the wedding, the parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Old Waverly Golf Club. Afterward, friends joined the wedding party and family for a cocktail party.

The couple is at home in Knoxville, where the bride is an eighth-grade teacher at South Doyle Middle School and the bridegroom attends law school at the University of Tennessee.
